Activity 6: Color Order System

For this activity, the CIE 1964 standard observer values for 380—780 nm was obtained from [2]. The tristimulus values were calculated using [1]

Their coordinates were obtained by normalizing each value by their sum. Figure 1 shows the obtained boundaries for the CIE tongue by considering monochromatic lights (). The Planckian locus was obtained by substituting into the spectral radiant exitance for a blackbody, given by
